Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is primarily a talk-based therapy and is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being by talking to someone who is objective, neutral, and non-judgemental. A psychotherapist will build a relationship with a client to bring about positive change in the client’s thinking, feeling, behaviour and social functioning. Knowledgeable psychotherapists select and recommend a treatment approach that is known to be well-suited for addressing a patient's needs and concerns, and they tailor their procedures to fit each individual patient's personality style and life circumstances.
